     The Manager will report on items of operational interest.

 

7.  Tulare County LAFCO

The Manager will update information relating to the District’s SOI review.

 

ACTION         8.  VCJPA

The Manager will present information concerning the JPA and a cost comparison re: quote provided for our insurance coverage and workers compensation package.

 

ACTION         9.  VCJPA 20th Annual Workshop

The Manager will request travel to the workshop February 24-26, Seascape Resort, Aptos, CA, should the Board approve a change to the VCJPA.

 

ACTION         10. GASB 45

The Manager will report on the requirements of GASB 45 and provide a proposed engagement letter for a GASB 45 actuarial valuation of the Delta Vector Control by Bickmore Risk Services.

 

ACTION         11. AMCA 74th Annual Conference, March 2 – 6, Sparks, NV

The Manager will request travel authorization for the Assistant Manager and Biologist to attend the conference.

 

ACTION         12. Policy 2119 Second Reading

The Board will take action regarding the amended policy, which allows for discretion when applying the time requirements in achieving the vertebrate and terrestrial invertebrate certifications.

 

13. Adjournment

Adjourn the meeting of the Board of Trustees to reconvene on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, 7:00 p.m. in the Delta Vector Control District Boardroom, 1737 W. Houston Ave., Visalia, CA.
