Mark started his career with the District in 2004 as a Vector Control Technician. He became the Administrative Assistant in 2005 and the Systems Administrator in 2008. As a Systems Administrator, Mark is responsible for developing the GIS/IT tools that technicians use in the field, IT support and equipment repair, in-house network management, database maintenance, and mapping surveillance and treatment areas. Before working at the District, Mark ran his own office equipment repair shop for 18 years. In his free time, Mark enjoys astronomy, photography, and motorcycle riding. Mark is a certified Vector Control Technician in Categories A through D through the California Department of Public Health Vector Control Certification Program.
