West Nile Virus: 33 St. Louis Encephalitis Virus: 0 Western Equine Encephalitis Virus: 0
There were no new WNV positive mosquito samples detected this week. A total of 33 mosquito samples have tested positive in the District out of the 761 mosquito samples tested in 2021.
A sample may contain up to 50 individual mosquitoes.
West Nile Virus: 5 St. Louis Encephalitis Virus: 0 Western Equine Encephalitis Virus: 0
No new dead birds have tested positive for WNV this week. A total of 5 dead birds have tested positive in the District out of 11 dead birds tested in 2021.
Report dead birds to the WNV call center at 1-877-968-2473. Dead birds may be testable for WNV, SLEV, and WEEV.
West Nile Virus: 0 St. Louis Encephalitis Virus: 0 Western Equine Encephalitis Virus: 0
No human cases of a mosquito-borne disease have been reported to Delta MVCD in 2021.
The Tulare County Public Health Department reports human cases to the District.
